ACTION
Taking A Lead
Many of us find ourselves caught up in the demands of everyday business and lack sufficient time. Yet, simultaneously, there's a growing desire to prepare for change or even establish our own enterprises. Collaborative efforts make this not only feasible but essential as disruptions accelerate in the years ahead. It often takes just one or two individuals to initiate a process and canvass communities to form cooperative groups. Starting small and working together can quickly turn an idea into a viable project.

Our first step involves promoting the concept of cooperatives and gauging interest in various schemes that could be implemented individually or in combination. We provide a guide on how to establish cooperatives and effective methods for their promotion. Existing cooperative groups are encouraged to expand their reach by affiliating with FormCo-ops, improving collaboration.

We offer pre-written letters to assist in contacting organizations and local authorities to introduce newly formed groups aiming to contribute to economic democracy. While not everyone may join a cooperative, many are willing to support their establishment and development through social media and other means.

FormCo-ops also outlines steps to set up local blogs via social media platforms, fostering direct discussions and idea sharing within specific regions. A particular focus is placed on registering facilitators, who volunteer their time to initiate groups and may themselves be interested in establishing cooperative enterprises with a commercial aspect. First there is the theory then there is the action that requires leadership.
